OPHP Designation – More Important NOW!

The OPHP Designation (Ohio Professional Housing Provider) allows our industry to regulative ourselves – NOT the bureaucrats in Columbus, Ohio or Washington, DC to regulate us through licensing.

To make this program work, we need your participation. You just attend the REIA educational meetings and you have your accreditation slips signed after each meeting. You keep track of your credits until you have 62 credit hours in the correct designation. You get the OPHP award and the accreditation associated with your name. It couldn’t be easier.

Legislators across the state are watching us as investors. They want to write laws that limit investors’ actions and their income. Many legislators believe the majority of investors do bad deals and hurt their neighborhoods. We know that is NOT true. If we police ourselves, educate ourselves, and show our business practices are ethical and a win for the home buyers and sellers and home owners that we come in contact with, we will continue to build our bottom line without legislative inference.

To do this, we need you to be educated and use you OPHP designation everywhere you do business – tell your bankers, home buyers and sellers, use it on your business cards, etc.

OPHP grads are 200 strong and growing across the state. We want to tell our legislators that there are thousands of OPHP grads across the state. That’s why we need YOU! It’s easy and you could help stop legislators from writing laws that hurt us.
